Hi ladies and gents. Isn't it a beautiful day, just been out on my bike and kinda feel ready to start the day, apart from feeling absolutely pooped! lol Anyways i thought it would be a neat idea to show you how i go about designing a character so todays post is dedicated to this little fella here.

I'm Back and this time for good!

Well i know, i'm completely rubbish at this blogging milarkee, i've had a lot of family illnesses including my own. I suffer with sever depression and it's taken me 6 months to get back on my feet and feel a little more enthusiastic for the craft i love, but i'm pleased to say Jo is back, and i've brought with me a whole host of wonderful goodies, including some NEW Design tools! Yes, that's right, you can now by commercial liscences to create some wonderful graphics of your own, and I have no problem with you selling them. I do have a few rules you must follow, but i think you will agree my terms and conditions are more than fair... You arn't alowed to make web graphics with these new commercial tools, and no digital stamps, real stamps or dies. However making your own kits, clipart, papers, scrapbook pages, sheets, candy wrappers, kits etc etc is all just fine. If you're unsure please don't hesitate to ask me, i don't bite.

The website for the time being is down at the moment, i'm having a few issues with my download hosting company, however i do hope to have that sorted within the next month.

ok so to wet your appetite i will be back with a freebie with you all and my first two Tinker Tools for you to have a play around with, and of course for my blog followers there will be a special discount on both sets.

Well, i've been really busy again in the shop this month, this time creating some lovely blog skins to revamp your space. The collections come complete with blog skin, banner, blog button and signature. I was checking my emails and i had a new guestbook entry, well actually it turns out i had a few since i last checked and one of them was from viv i just nearly died when i saw this card. Not sure about where you are in the world, but what awful weather we're having in cambridgeshire at the moment. Nothing, but rain all day. Thankfully yesterday was much better, as we attended an 18th birthday party complete with sumo suits and bouncy castle, what fun!! i am paying for it today though, my legs are killing me. lol.

Play Time!!

I actually got a little time to play this morning, after Vicki's lovely strawberry Sundae she created for the DT, I got in the baking mood and made some lovely choc chip cookies, then got thinking (yes my head does hurt) With credit crunch time upon us what an unexpensive gift this would make, for a child or an adult alike. Heres what i came up with.

Team them with a recipe card, and its just makes the most adorable gift.

Heres the recipe i used.

400g Plain flour
200g Caster Sugar
175g butter
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 small packets of cooks choc chips

here is the method

Cream the sugar & butter togther, combine the eggs and the vanilla extract together, before adding them to the butter mix and whisking well. In another bowl combine the flour with the baking powder and the salt, add this to the butter, egg and sugar mix. Mix well until a dough forms. Divide dough into 2 lumps, wrap in cling film and refridgerate for 1 hour. Unwrap your dough and sprinkle your work surface with flour. roll out the dough and sprinkle the choc chips onto the surface and need in well. Cut out with cookie cutters (i just used a drinking glass, as i had no cutters) Bake on a greased baking sheet for 10 mins at 200, They are done when they are slightly springy and golden around the edges. Leave to cool.

and some boring plastic sleeves and end caps which look like this

and can be found here You buy the end caps seperately, just so you know.

Before i go my sister was wearing these fantastic socks yesterday and i just had to take a pic, very Milly-esque

Oh My Gosh!!!. well ladies the bar has been raised and i just had to show you this lovely project i had linked to us. It's for a placement on the Tinker & Co DT. I'm just gobsmaked at the talent here, and what a clever idea. It's kinda fitting to as we're thinking of expanding in this area too.

We've actually been in talks with a company to produce some tinker softies, and these are just brillient. Very original concept hun!

Good morning everyone. Wow what a day and its not even 11 am yet!. My blog is begining to resemble busses, You wait all day for one and then 4 come along at once! Yes that's right 4 posts for you to read today, and no i guess i'm not feeling myself! lol. Anywhoo... on to today's news.

After the lovely amount of crafters who entered our first giveaway, i wondered how on earth am i ment to top this!, it truely was wonderful to read all your lovely comments. Winner has been anounced in the forth post of today, but it brings me neatly on to our next big event at the Tinker Store. With so many inspirational blogs out there, i'm just itching to put some of you talented ladies to the challnege and anounce.....

WOW! it's so hard keeping up with everything going on at the moment, hence the lack of post of late, but i hope to rectify that in the up and coming days. I've taken up walking in the morning, which is my lay in time, ha!!! what lay in lol, however in an effort to try and get trim this is now my regular daily activity, i'm shattered before the day has even started lol.

Wow. i ment to blog this a few days ago, but as ever time has just run away with me yet again. A big thank you to Vicki, for giving Tinker & Co's blog their first award, that was so nice and a gave a well needed up lift. Thank you vicki.

Easter Project

So i've actually found five mins, to have a play around with some paper crafting!. Creating new stash takes up so much of my time that i rarely get the time to just sit and play. It wasn't just for my own benefit though. i created a simple little template that i'm sharing with you to offer something just that little bit different at easter. Easter eggs these days seem to be so expensive for the amount of chocolate you actualy get, and whilst us crafters are creative and are already eyeing up the easter eggs in the cupboard wondering what we can do with the box, it still naffs me off that you pay through your nose for attractive wrapping. Belows little project makes good use of tescos eggs at 99p for about 14, and the new papers in the post below.

Thank you to all those that have made cards with the warren printable set. They are all so smashing. i'll be adding a few more of my favourites in the next couple of days for the april leg of the on going comp. But for now i need to announce the winner of march's leg, and thats michelle. What with a few personal issues, and a major fiasco with my printer, the only good news is we only have a couple days left of march and then we will be in our fouth month of the year! where does the time go?! AGGGGHHHHH!!!!..... relax and breeeeeath!!!

Just a quick one this morning, i'm up to my ear 'oles, after the fiasco with my printer, getting parcels packed and out to the post office, a little blurry eyed this morning, since i was up till 3am, but slowely getting there. As i type i look at the floor and there is just a mountain of white cardboard sleaves ready for the post. Still i love my job so can't complain :0)

On to the fun stuff, You may have noticed a new giveaway on the right, for every card we post on the blog, one lucky winner will recieve Milly's peace kit.
